It’s been a busy week for politics in Taiwan. Italy just permitted Taiwanese president, Chen Shui-bian to travel to Pope John-Paul’s funeral. It will be the first time a Taiwanese president has ever travelled to Europe in an official capacity. This is because China bullies the world into treating Taiwan like a neutered country, rather than with the dignity Taiwan deserves.
